Abby has a BA & MA in vocal performance, She started doing Pilates as a way of cross training to enhance her technique & strength as a performer. She received her certification through BP & has enjoyed not only the benefits Pilates brings to her life, but also the fulfilling opportunity to help others.
Anastasia was introduced to Pilates as a conditioning tool for ballet dancers while earning her BFA in dance. After moving to New York, earned her certification through BP and became interested in how Pilates can be tailored to work for everybody. She loves helping her clients discover their strengths in challenging Pilates classes.
Elisabeth is one of our senior instructors. She earned her degree in Ballet Performance from Indiana University with a Double Major in Kinesiology and a Minor in Mathematics. After college, she joined the Rochester City Ballet in Rochester, NY. In 2015 she moved to NYC to pursue a career as a freelance dancer. She loves teaches at our Harlem location.
Kate moved to New York after receiving her degree in Acting/Musical Theatre. After a knee injury, she discovered Pilates and became addicted to its unique format of conditioning. She decided she wanted to help others meet their Pilates goals, live pain-free while gaining strength and flexibility.
After completing her BFA in Dance, Laura pursued her career in dance and received her Pilates Certification through Balanced Pilates. Laura is an artist who has found how transformative movement can be for her body and emphasizes strength, agility, centering, and breath in her teaching!
Lilly, a born and bred New Yorker, is an accomplished painter with a BA in Fine Arts from NYU and is a proud mother of two. With over 25 years of experience practicing Pilates, Lilly recently earned her certification through Balanced Pilates. She loves seeing her clients get stronger and more confident with each session.
After receiving her BFA in musical theatre, Rachel moved to NYC. She quickly fell in love with Pilates as a fantastic workout & rehabilitation tool. She received her Pilates Certification through Balanced Pilates. Her classes aim for a total body workout with an emphasis on structural stability.
Steven earned a BFA in Modern Dance with a choreography focus.After school, he joined Parsons Dance and went on to earn an MFA in Dance from Hollins & served on Faculty at Georgian Court University. He earned his Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Balanced Pilates NYC in 2020 and enjoys teaching at our Harlem location.
Victoria received her BFA in Contemporary Dance from The Boston Conservatory where she was first introduced to Pilates. She received her Comprehensive Pilates Certification through Balanced Pilates. As an instructor, Victoria loves to help others realize the extensive benefits of this method through fun, challenging classes.
